These Terms & Conditions apply to services and products supplied by Dragon Elite Sharpening Services (“Dragon Elite”, “we”, “us” or “our”).
By booking a service, sending tools to us, purchasing from our website or otherwise instructing us to carry out work, you agree to these terms.
1. Our Services
Dragon Elite Sharpening Services provides professional sharpening, servicing and related services, including mobile and postal sharpening.
We also sell selected products, equipment and accessories through our website.
We reserve the right to decline work which we consider unsafe, unsuitable, beyond economical repair or outside the scope of the services we provide.
2. Estimates and Quotations
Any quotation or estimate given before inspecting an item is based on the information available at the time.
If additional faults, damage or work become apparent once an item is inspected, we may contact you before carrying out additional chargeable work.
Prices shown on our website may be changed from time to time. Any change will not affect an order that has already been accepted.
3. Mobile Sharpening Appointments
Mobile appointments are arranged for an agreed date, time or visit window.
Please ensure that the tools to be serviced are available when we arrive.
We will make reasonable efforts to attend at the agreed time, but arrival times may occasionally be affected by traffic, previous appointments, weather or other circumstances outside our reasonable control.
If we need to rearrange an appointment, we will contact you as soon as reasonably possible.
4. Postal Sharpening Service
Customers using our postal service are responsible for securely packaging tools and arranging their safe delivery to Dragon Elite.
We recommend using a suitable tracked and insured postal or courier service.
Responsibility for items being sent to us remains with the sender until they have been received by Dragon Elite.
Once received, we aim to sharpen and post tools back within 24–48 hours, unless additional work, parts, repair requirements or other circumstances mean that more time is required.
Turnaround times are estimates rather than guaranteed delivery dates.
Return delivery is undertaken by the relevant postal or courier provider. We cannot be responsible for delays caused by a carrier once an item has been dispatched, although we will provide reasonable assistance if a delivery problem occurs.
5. Condition of Tools
Sharpening and servicing can improve the performance of suitable equipment, but cannot reverse existing wear, corrosion, accidental damage, incorrect previous sharpening, worn components or other defects.
Where we believe an item should not be sharpened or repaired, we may advise you accordingly rather than carry out unnecessary work.
Some items may require replacement parts before satisfactory performance can be restored. Where practicable, we will discuss additional work or cost with you before proceeding.
6. Customer Property
We will take reasonable care of equipment entrusted to us.
Customers should inform us of any known defects, previous damage, modifications or unusual characteristics which may affect the work.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful.
7. Products Purchased Through Our Website
Product descriptions, photographs, dimensions and specifications are provided as accurately as reasonably possible.
Minor differences in appearance may occur, particularly with colours, finishes and manufactured or 3D-printed products.
Where a product is available in several colours or variations, the option selected when ordering will form part of the order.
8. Payment
Payment must be made using one of the payment methods offered by us.
Orders or services may be held until payment has been received where appropriate.
All prices displayed on the website are in Pounds Sterling (GBP) unless stated otherwise.
9. Delivery of Products
Delivery times shown or advised are estimates.
We will take reasonable steps to dispatch orders promptly, but we are not responsible for delays caused by postal or courier services or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
Customers are responsible for supplying an accurate delivery address.
10. Cancellation Rights for Online Purchases
Where UK consumer cancellation rights apply, consumers will normally have 14 days from receipt of goods to notify us that they wish to cancel an eligible online purchase.
Certain goods may be excluded from cancellation rights where the law permits, including items made specifically to an individual customer’s specification or personalised for them.
This does not affect your statutory rights if goods are faulty, damaged or not as described.
11. Services and Cancellation Rights
Where a consumer asks us to begin providing a service during any statutory cancellation period, the customer may be required to pay for work already performed if they subsequently cancel.
Where a service has been fully completed following the customer’s express request and acknowledgement, statutory cancellation rights may no longer apply where permitted by law.
12. Returns and Faulty Goods
If a product purchased from us is faulty, damaged or not as described, please contact us as soon as possible.
Your statutory rights under UK consumer law are not affected by these Terms & Conditions.
For ordinary returns or cancellations, customers should contact us before returning an item so that appropriate return instructions can be provided.
13. Missed or Cancelled Appointments
If you need to cancel or rearrange a mobile appointment, please give as much notice as reasonably possible.
Repeated missed appointments or cancellations at short notice may affect our ability to offer future appointment slots.
14. Website Information
We make reasonable efforts to ensure that information on the Dragon Elite website is accurate and current.
Occasional errors, omissions or technical problems may occur. We reserve the right to correct information where necessary.
Advice and guidance published on our website is provided for general informational purposes and should be followed with appropriate care and regard to manufacturers’ instructions.
15. Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise stated, original written content, photographs, graphics, branding and other material produced by Dragon Elite Sharpening Services remain the property of Dragon Elite Sharpening Services.
They may not be reproduced, republished or used commercially without permission.
16. Events Beyond Our Control
We will not be responsible for delay or failure caused by events outside our reasonable control, including severe weather, transport disruption, postal or courier disruption, equipment failure or other unforeseen circumstances.
17. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms & Conditions when necessary.
The version displayed on our website at the time an order or booking is made will normally apply to that transaction.
18. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws applicable in England and Wales.
Nothing in these terms affects any statutory rights available to consumers.
